2014–2015 Season Campaign
YaleRep is the internationally celebrated professional theatre in residence at Yale School of Drama. They have championed new work since 1966, producing well over 100 premieres—including two Pulitzer Prize winners and four other nominated finalists—by emerging and established playwrights. Twelve Yale Rep productions have advanced to Broadway, garnering more than 40 Tony Award nominations and eight Tony Awards.
When they contacted us about creating key art for their 2014/15 season, we knew that we had to do more than just create individual key art; we proposed rebranding the entire visual identity of the theatre into something vibrant, contemporary, and energetic. Paying tribute to the Rep's iconic logo, we used the angled square of the logo to construct playful frames that contained the art for each show. We spread this look across all print and web assets created for the season, and continue to develop it into the 2015/16 season.
